Mizuho OSI faced a unique obstacle in Europe: how to effectively demonstrate the value of the Levo® Head Positioning System to surgeons without having the product physically present. The Levo is a highly specialized piece of medical equipment designed to provide stable, controlled positioning during spine surgeries. Its differentiators, such as smooth range of motion and precise access to vertebrae, are best appreciated when seen and experienced first-hand.

However, transporting such a large and expensive device across multiple markets in Europe was not practical. Inventory in the region was limited, and shipping units for demos was both costly and logistically challenging. This meant that sales representatives were often left with static brochures, videos, or limited demonstrations — none of which fully conveyed the quality and sophistication of the Levo.

For Mizuho OSI, the challenge was clear: how do you give sales teams a way to bring the Levo to life for surgeons without physically moving the product? They needed a solution that would make the Levo’s precision and value immediately understandable, accessible in any environment, and memorable enough to drive meaningful sales conversations.

D2 Creative proposed a pilot program using an advanced 3D/AI tablet device that could simulate the Levo in a true-to-life way. Unlike standard animations or flat 3D renderings, this device projects a high-fidelity 3D model that dynamically adjusts to the user’s perspective. As a surgeon or sales rep moves their head, the image reorients in real-time, creating the experience of physically examining the product from multiple angles.

We worked closely with Mizuho OSI to develop a custom, self-contained app that showcased the Levo’s most important features: its smooth range of motion, precision in vertebrae access, and overall engineering quality. Because the application was pre-loaded onto tablets, sales reps could use it virtually anywhere, even without internet access.

Equally important was presentation quality. The visualizations had to look polished, scientific, and professional. Our team focused on accuracy and detail so that the demo would feel more like handling the real product than watching a simulation. The result was a portable, sleek, and engaging tool that instantly captured attention and conveyed credibility.

The pilot program gave Mizuho OSI’s European sales force a powerful new way to engage with surgeons. Instead of relying on static materials or limited product access, sales reps could now provide an immersive, interactive demo in the palm of their hand.

Early feedback from the field was overwhelmingly positive. The 3D tablet made conversations more engaging and memorable, with many impressed by both the realism and the innovation behind the experience.

For Mizuho OSI, this innovation solved a costly logistical challenge and gave their teams a competitive edge. The 3D tablet proved to be a sales-enablement breakthrough: portable, professional, and aligned with the company’s reputation for precision engineering. By addressing a real-world challenge with creative technology, D2 Creative helped Mizuho OSI strengthen its presence in Europe and better equip its sales reps to drive adoption of the Levo system.
